Due to the ongoing threat posed by COVID-19, Grand Valley Animal Clinic with be TEMPORARILY operating a LOCKED DOOR POLICY.
What does this means for you and your pet?
1. IF YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT
Upon arrival for your scheduled appointment, please call reception at 204-728-0033 and a staff member will come out and collect your pet - either in the parking lot or directly from your vehicle.
The veterinarian/technician will call you to obtain a history and the examination can be conducted while you remain on your phone, if you wish.
Once the examination (and any necessary diagnostics) are completed, the veterinarian will provide you with an assessment and treatment plan over the phone. Our reception will contact you over the phone to discuss payment options (credit card or etransfer), then your pet (along with any treatments) will be returned to you in the parking lot or directly to your vehicle.
2. IF YOU HAVE A DROP-OFF APPOINTMENT
Upon arrival, please call reception at 204-728-003 and a staff member will obtain a detailed history and collect your pet either from your vehicle or in the parking lot.
Once the examination has been completed, the veterinarian/technician will call you with an update and arrange a time for you to collect your pet-you will be asked to provide payment at this time (credit card or etransfer).
When you arrive to collect your pet, please call reception at 204-728-0033 and a staff member will return your pet to you in the parking lot or directly to your vehicle.
3. IF YOU ARE COLLECTING FOOD/MEDICATIONS/TREATMENTS
Please call in advance to order what you require-you will be asked to provide payment at this time (credit card or etransfer).
Upon arrival, please call reception at 204-728-0033 and a staff member will meet you at your vehicle, or in the parking lot, with your order. If you live in town, home delivery will also be available-please call reception if you require further information on this.
4. HOSPITALIZED CRITICAL PATIENTS OR EUTHANASIAS
Upon arrival at the clinic, please call reception at 204-728-0033 and a staff member will meet you and escort you into the clinic. You will be asked to wash your hands thoroughly upon entering the building.
We ask that, at this time, you limit the number of people present as much as possible to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. If you have been travelling internationally in the last 2 weeks, or if you are ill, we ask that you please stay home.
